Against Unifying Continuum-View of Scientific and Metaphysical Explanations

Scientific and metaphysical explanations concern ontic relations of dependence and this motivates some authors to claim that there is no strong separate line between two types of explanations, but there is a continuum of ontic explanations that reflect human ways of structuring reality and provide understanding. Strategies of defending the continuum-view, such as naturalization of some metaphysical relation, identifying the role of grounding and causation and others, will be presented in order to demonstrate some counterarguments.
