To be done with all this measuring of truth

Fine (2021) has recently proposed an account of comparative verisimilitude within truthmaker semantics. Importantly, to compare any two theories, they must be related by the relation of containment. However, in most cases, they are not. Hence, this account leaves incomparable most of the theories we would like to compare. In this talk, I shall propose three strategies to address this issue. In particular, I will put forward a new account, in which a measure of the truth and the falsity of propositions is introduced. Comparative verisimilitude is then defined accordingly.
